"Evil" Corporations and World Peace

Unnecessary is unnecessarily long.
Why put so much effort in typing a word which is ‘unnecessary’ ?? Give this a thought while I feed you with something interesting I cam across this week.
Recently I came across this term Corporatocracy and was curious to know more about it. According to Wikipedia, Corporatocracy is a term used to refer to an economic and political system controlled by corporations or corporate, the idea of government dominated by corporate business interests. But is that true? Are the governments secretly controlled by the Big Evil Corporation and all these people are being killed on purpose so that Bill Gates can like, add a third wing to his mansion… or something.
Let me tell you a big secret today - If you wish to be a successful story writer, a story which shows Big corporations as a villain who are ready to destroy half the population to get some additional percentage points to the bottom line will always be a top grossing film on the Box Office.
But what if I told you these same too-big-to-fail companies might be the best thing happening for global peace? The idea is not as crazy as you think.
In 1995 an economist named Thomas Friedman proposed an idea in what he initially called "The Golden Arches Theory of Conflict." His theory was simple, two countries who enjoy the global fruit of economy would never jeopardise the economic luxuries by opting to kill each other. According to this theory, until 1995, two countries never went to a war with each other who had McDonald’s restaurant running in the country, and Friedman argued that they would rarely, if ever, go to war in the future.
Unfortunately the theory was disproven soon when the people of Serbia and Bosnia realised that they hate each other more than they love McVeggie.
Like a good human, learning from the mistakes, The theory was updated in 2005 and renamed as The Dell Theory of Conflict. It states that the countries who share supply chains for most of the industries would never go to the war as the economic disruption would be too costly to pursue. This is the reason India and China would never want to go into a war situation, this is why China always says it’s going to invade Taiwan but never does, and why the US really has only seemed interested in invading countries that don’t have anything interesting to sell them.
We are living in the most peaceful periods of 50 years, with no major war in the last 50 years. A company like Apple is likely more responsible for peace between the US and China than any US president. Neither country wants to play with a $2 trillion dollar cash cow in both their backyards.
Fun Fact: The 2020 edition of the Global Peace Index released by The Institute for Economics and Peace has found that global peacefulness has declined for the ninth time in the last 12 years. This time around, peace has deteriorated in 80 countries while the situation has improved in 81.
