To set up the background for people who don’t know me personally, I used to belong to a class of people who will eat any left over food just for the sake of not wasting it inspite of finishing your own meal. At this point, I don't clearly remember if there was junk food in my life or my life was in junk food. I would call myself 'obese' as per the biological definition and 'healthy' as per the definition of my family.
It was on the eve of 16th Jan 2022, when I visited Shweta ma'am's clinic to start my weight loss journey. I lost 19.8 Kg in just 2.5 months with the help of her diet plans. My weight loss journey (attested by me as well as everyone around me) has been phenomenal and the credit for helping me achieve my target weight goes to Shweta ma'am. Thinking from the first principles approach, I realise that everything good happening with you is a result of forming good habits and shedding bad habits. This is one crucial factor that distinguishes ma'am. Through her diet plans, she taught me how good eating habits (which involve not just eating green vegetables but also portion control) can take you from XL to M. It's the small changes that reap big rewards. Diet plans are variable, it is the good habits that she helped me inculcate which I think became the X-factor in my journey. It's not just weight loss, it's a plethora of changes that comes along with it. You feel optimistic, positive and your self-confidence touches the sky!
One of the many examples of changes that I felt within myself is that of cycling. Earlier, the maximum I could cycle was for 15-16 Kms with an average speed of 18Km/hr. Now I am able to go for longer rides (greater than 20Kms) with an average speed of 22Km/hr. Thus an increase in metabolism. And ofcourse complements from friends and family add icing to the cake. Not to forget, the happiest people on this planet because of my weight loss are my family members because I started eating green vegetables. The diet plans formulated by ma'am were kind of magical, because anything that made me eat green vegetables has to be magical.
Finally, a weight loss journey isn’t complete without posting before and after pics.
