#137 Hands on with pika.art
Saturday, December 16
This week I got access to pika.art, which is an idea-to-video platform that brings out your creativity to life. I have been mesmerized by the demo video of their AI product that Pika released 2 weeks ago and have been waiting since then to try out different prompts. First, have a look at what the platform is capable of -
pika.art has a list of sample prompts that you can check out, but while playing with the prompts I realized that the power of video editing lies not just in the technical capabilities of the tools but in the boundless imagination and creativity of the editor. The ability to breathe life into ideas, to redefine reality, and to share a unique perspective with the world is what makes video editing an art form. As I write this short blog, I reflect on the various prompts that sparked these creative endeavors. Each video, a testament to the limitless possibilities that unfold when imagination meets technology. Here are a few of the many prompts I tried playing with -
Prompt: “waves crashing against a giant ship”
Prompt: “A dreamy young girl joyfully raising her arms surrounded by dark demons”
Prompt: “A hindu reading namaz in a church”
Now, let's dive into my favorite feature. With Pika.art, you have the power to edit both your images and videos. Whether it's tweaking a segment of the video or giving yourself a whole new wardrobe— the possibilities are endless!
I visited BAPS in Los Angeles, and in the picture below, I swapped BAPS with the Statue of Liberty. Admittedly, it might not have been the perfect choice given the overall energy of the frame. Yet, you've got to appreciate how seamlessly the swap turned out!
Recently, my family and I embarked on a visit to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. Here's a snapshot of us riding horses, positioned at the edge of what seems like molten lava. While there's room for improvement, doesn't it still capture a unique moment?
There’s a picture of me in which I am standing in front of The Golden Gate wearing sunglasses. Here are two pictures edited using pika.art -
In the first one I replaced sunglasses using the prompt “cool funky glasses” and in the second picture I swapped The Golden Gate with Taj Mahal using the prompt “Taj Mahal“.
Another edit where I've donned a stunning Indian attire. Transformed the look entirely! What do you think?
Here’s my brother elegantly suited up in a tuxedo, paying a unique visit to Mata Vishno Devi—thanks to the wonders of AI Magic! Of course, in reality, he wasn't, but isn't the virtual transformation fascinating?
And because I used my brother’s picture, he asked me to try out another prompt -
Prompt: “World War 2 soldier on the verge of death”
What fascinating scenarios, transformations, or visual tales would you like to witness in a video? Share your prompts, and let's continue to weave the tapestry of visual storytelling together!
See you next weekend, have a wonderful week ahead :)
Cheers!
