#132 Discovering Joy: An intrinsic motivation
Saturday, November 04
Having a sibling is a special thing. I can't help but feel sympathy for those who grew up in solitude. It makes me wonder about the unique joys and experiences that come with having a sibling, some of which I might not have fully comprehended. If you think about it, it is fascinating that there are certain joys in life that we remain oblivious to until we actually experience them.
One such other revelation that recently dawned upon me is the sheer delight of bringing a smile to someone's face. Bringing a smile to someone's face is an indescribable joy, especially when you know that you are the reason behind their happiness. It's a heartwarming connection that strengthens bonds and spreads positivity. It serves as a reminder of our power to create happiness for others and ourselves, and it's a profound aspect of the human experience.
I also believe that such experiences are highly addictive in a positive sense. Once you experience the happiness of making someone smile and knowing that you're the reason behind it, it becomes a source of intrinsic motivation. It's a cycle of positive reinforcement where the more you give, the more you want to give. This desire to spread joy and build those heartwarming connections becomes an integral part of one's life, an addiction that perpetuates happiness and creates a continuous cycle of positivity.
What is that unique experience that you believe didn't exist in your life before you had the chance to encounter it, and eventually, it became a source of intrinsic motivation? I am curious to explore more of these experiences that have the power to inspire and drive us.
Take care, have fun, see you soon :)
Cheers!
