When I look at a picture, I perceive its depth—the meaning it conveys—rather than just its aesthetics. With each passing day, the cameras on our phones are improving, and AI is becoming increasingly skilled at bringing our imagination to life. As a result, capturing an aesthetically pleasing picture has become remarkably effortless. Gone are the days of intricate setups and professional gear; today, the perfect shot is just a click away. But amidst this technological marvel, let us not forget that it is the soul behind the lens that truly matters. It is our unique perspective, our ability to see beyond the surface, that breathes life into the pixels we capture.
Sharing a few images I happened to click last week with meaning, emotion, and an authentic vision. This is the third part of the series What does beauty mean to you?, check out the other two parts here and here.
In the second apartment to the left of the stairs at 1330, The Almaeda, there is a cat that spends its days sitting by the window, probably contemplating about the new world order. Its eyes are as vast as the universe, and when you look into them, you feel like you're being drawn into a world where secrets are shared in silence, like whispers. The cat's gaze holds a deep wisdom that seems to go beyond time itself, and when you look into them, you might catch a glimpse of its elaborate plans for a cat revolution. This new window dwelling philosopher neighbor of mine keeps me entertained all day with its dramatic stares and its occasional nap interruptions.
Ofcourse. If I mention cats in the newsletter, I ought to mention dogs. After all this is a balanced newsletter, there has to be something for everyone - for a cat as well as a dog person. The fact that the owner had to put this sign up means he had dealt with numerous mischievous dogs and their owners who are on a secret mission during their morning walk i.e. where to poop? But there lies a deeper beauty. This picture reminds us of the unconditional love and joy that our four-legged companions bring to our lives. It's a whimsical reminder that even in the midst of messes, their presence brings smiles and warmth to our hearts.
No matter where you live, be it in the west or the east, if you're on planet Earth, chances are you'll witness people using gym equipment like ellipticals and treadmills for purposes other than their intended use. Who needs a plain old clothesline when you can combine a full-body workout with drying your clothes? Skip the gym membership and jump on that elliptical. Let your legs do the spinning while your favorite shirt flutters in the breeze.
This page is from the book I started reading last week (and then dropped it after this page). Life, though brief and beautiful, gains its true meaning from its impermanence. The shortness of our existence gives it a special value, reminding us to cherish every moment. On the other hand, love is timeless and limitless, surpassing the constraints of time and death. This paradox weaves the intricate fabric of life, reminding us to embrace both life's fleeting nature and the lasting strength of love.
The great and wise leaders of fitness have finally spoken. If the gym gods say that the battle against weights and treadmills must be fought in the armor of shirts and the footwear of champions, then that must be the case. No matter how tempting it may be, the urge of flexing your abs should be resisted because shoes and shirts are the armor of gym legends, and without them, you risk the wrath of the mighty treadmill. Hence, if you see a shirtless guy in a gym, tell them what the gym gods say.
Have fun with your shirt-full workout and I will see you next Saturday.
Until then, have a great time :)
Cheers!
