If a picture could speak, I am sure it wouldn’t have stopped at a thousand words. Every picture tells a story. And every story is beautiful (unless you don’t want it to be). After a successful edition of What does beauty mean to you? (my most read blog), I am back with yet another episode of the same story - BEAUTY. So, before I begin, what does beauty mean to you?
These are a few pictures that I happen to click in the last 3 months. I captured them not because of any aesthetic reason but because the intention and the vibe of that picture caught my attention.
I don't know what the person gains out of it, but he made me realize that a sense of kindness and generosity can be seen as beautiful. The willingness to use one's skills and free time to do something for someone else without expecting anything in return is a selfless act that embodies the concept of beauty. But why would he do that? Maybe he saw it as an appreciation and celebration of different cultures and languages. Who knows? But I remember the wide smile on my face when I saw him for the first time.
“Where do you see yourself in 10 years?”. A question most of us have encountered, if not, don’t worry, you will answer it now. So, where do you see yourself in 10 years? I don’t know about you, but I wish to be in the place of the gentleman who is enjoying his book. There is a certain peacefulness and beauty in being surrounded by nature while enjoying the pleasure of reading a book. Taking the time to enjoy the simple pleasures of nature and literature is a rejuvenating experience for the mind and soul. It is a way to connect with the beauty of the world around us and nourish our spirits.
Bhindi being one of my most favorite green vegetables, this picture reserved its spot in today’s blog the moment my eyes fell on the title. Not that I am interested in buying any jewelry or the owner of the jewelry shop paid me to get featured on this world famous blog, I found the name appealing because it has a cultural and artistic reference. From what I think, the name "Bhindi Jewellers” could be a reference to the intricate and delicate nature of the vegetable, which could be seen as a metaphor for the beauty and craftsmanship of jewelry.
When Alex, an American foodie, took her first bite of spicy dal and naan, her taste buds were hit with a sensory overload that sent her into a fit of coughing and sneezing. Despite the intense heat, she couldn't resist going back for more. As she wiped the sweat from her forehead and took the first sip of her drink, she realized that there was a certain beauty in the way that the spices and flavors mingled together, creating taste sensations that she had never experienced before. She may not have been able to handle the heat, but she couldn't deny the beauty of the experience - and she couldn't wait to try more!
While I was rushing from one class to another, I saw this beautiful gentleman lying on the lush green grass of Pardee lawn. I think we all deserve the softness of the grass, the warmth of the sun, and the gentle breeze to come together to create a serene and peaceful atmosphere and experience this deep sense of contentment and relaxation. No, I am not saying run away from all your problems and find an escape room, all I am saying is to slow down a bit and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us in the present moment.
With my arms wide open and a welcoming stance, I willingly embrace all the new experiences, while the airplane soaring above symbolizes the possibilities and excitement of travel and adventure. This image somehow captures a sense of liberation and escape from the mundane, urging us to explore and broaden our horizons. The beauty of the image lies not only in the visual composition but also in the emotions it evokes - the limitless possibilities that exist in the world and the beauty of embracing new experiences with open arms.
Whenever I look at this picture, I cannot help but feel small and insignificant in comparison to the grandeur of the mountains, yet at the same time, the image reminds me of the vastness and beauty of the world we inhabit. The majesty and grandeur of the mountains towering above, with their peaks dusted in pristine white snow, inspire a sense of awe and wonder. I sometimes think that the word ‘mountain’ sneaked into the dictionary only to describe the word ‘beauty’ which was declared much earlier in the dictionary.
There are other countless pictures like these which define what beauty means to me. Obviously a lot of what I said might not make sense to you as one man’s beauty is another man’s vacuum . What is your definition of beauty?
Nothing but gratitude :)
Cheers!
No more “What’s cooking on twitter?”. If you know the reason - GOOD, If you don’t - EVEN BETTER.
